Gloria and Luis's wedding day was a beautiful blend of emotions, elegance, and stunning scenery. The day began with the couple getting ready in separate homes in Queens, NY. Gloria was surrounded by her mother and bridesmaids, who wore mint green dresses, as they helped her prepare for the day. Before leaving, they shared a heartfelt prayer, adding a personal touch to the morning.
Luis, accompanied by his groomsmen and father, all dressed in beige suits, made a meaningful stop at St. Michael's Cemetery in East Elmhurst, NY. They visited the grave of Luis's mother, who had recently passed away, a loss that led to the couple rescheduling their wedding. The visit was a poignant moment, captured discreetly by our team, as they honored her memory before heading to Saint Finbar Catholic Church in Brooklyn for the ceremony.
The church, with its grand altar and beautiful arches, provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. After the vows, Gloria and Luis made a joyful exit from the church, where the bridal party awaited them on the steps. A Rolls Royce was ready to whisk the couple away, while the bridal party boarded a shuttle bus. We captured some beautiful moments with the couple in front of the church, including a memorable shot of Gloria tossing her veil, illuminated by the sunlight, and a special moment with their two dogs on the steps.
The next stop was Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island, where we captured breathtaking bridal party portraits and a photo session with the bride and groom. The expansive estate grounds provided stunning architectural backdrops, with one of the highlights being a photo of the couple walking across a large grassy field, taken from the terrace, making them appear small in the vast landscape. Another iconic shot was of them standing in front of the mansion, a true representation of the grandeur of Old Westbury Gardens.
The day concluded at Jericho Terrace for the reception, where we took formal family photos in the lobby and more portraits of the bride and groom on the venue's elegant staircase. The reception kicked off with the couple's first dance, performed amidst thick fog that created the illusion of dancing on clouds. The entertainment was lively, with a stilt walker dressed as an LED-lit robot energizing the crowd. The night ended on a sweet note with the couple cutting their four-tier cake and sharing a kiss in front of the Viennese table, with dramatic flames from lit skillets framing the moment, creating a spectacular final photograph.
This wedding was a perfect mix of heartfelt moments, stunning visuals, and joyous celebrations, making it an unforgettable day for Gloria and Luis.
