When Tyler reached out to me to help with planning his proposal in Central Park, I knew this was a perfect opportunity to do something truly special for his soon to be fiance Brittany. I have photographed all around New York City and there was one location I could think of that would be ideal in Central Park. Rather than choosing a spot like Bow Bridge that everyone seems to flock to and is always overcrowded, I recommended an area that is a bit off the beaten path, but still easily accessible and just as beautiful as any other area in the park. Many people do not know about this spot and as such, it sees a lot less foot traffic, minimizing the risk of anyone walking by at the crucial moment and ruining the photograph.
Leading up to the day Tyler was planning on proposing to his girlfriend we went over choosing the specific location, the path he should take, what to keep in mind when position his body when getting down on one knee, and all the other details that go into planning a proposal photo session.
Luckily everything was planned perfectly, Brittany expected nothing, and we captured some beautiful photographs! The snow just made everything so much more unique. After the proposal we walked around the park and spent the rest of their session time creating some fun and romantic photographs. Of course no Central Park engagement session is complete without shooting under the Bethesda Terrace!
