The Importance of Family Photography
Think back to the last time you were doing a proper Spring cleaning around your home. It started as a chore that you wanted to cross off your to-do list but quickly turned into an hour of looking through old photographs you found stashed in a shoe box or flipping through an album, bringing back happy memories of simpler times.
A photograph isn’t just a piece of paper – it’s a moment in time we can look back on and cherish for decades. It’s a piece of art that tells a story – one we can tell our children while nostalgia eats away at our insides.
The older we get the more important family becomes in our lives but it seems we get less and less time to spend with the people we love most. A family portrait session that you update every few months or couple of years not only adds to the decor of our home but will put a smile on your face every time you walk past it.

How it Works
Step 1
Pre-Consultation
- We start with a phone consultation to go over your needs, vision, and available options
- Submit your session fee payment online
- Schedule a time/date and location of your photo session
- Communication and planning will continue over email to plan specific details such as coordinating outfits and planning to create a portrait that will fit your wall space and match the decor of your home
Step 2
Family Photo Session
- Your session takes place at our agreed upon location. Sessions are one hour long.
- At the end of your session we will schedule your reveal and ordering session, typically within the following 3-5 days
Step 3
Reveal/Ordering Session
- The photos created for you will be processed and ready for viewing
- You come down to our studio and together we will pick your favorite photographs. You order only what you really fall in love with and there are no order minimums!
Products start at $350, digital+print collections start at $850. Most clients spend between $500-2000+ on their selection of wall art, albums, and more. - I show you samples of everything available so you can asses yourself the archival quality of prints, canvases, metal prints, and heirloom albums. We also use some fancy software to show you what your wall art will look like in your home so there is no guesswork when choosing a size.
- Payment for your items is due at this time.
Step 4
Delivery
- Your items are delivered to your door! Delivery times vary based on products ordered but typically arrive in less than 3-4 weeks from your ordering session.
What's Included
Your session fee covers the time to plan and photograph your customized session; it does not include any prints or digital images. After you view your images, you may decide on exactly what you would like to order. You only purchase what you love and there is no minimum order requirement.
Clients typically invest anywhere from $350 to upwards of $2000+ on a selection of wall art, digital images, and customized products such as albums and canvas prints.
Digital files optimized for sharing on the web and social media are included with every physical photograph you purchase. High resolution files along with a print release are available and priced on a sliding scale. Depending on your total these can potentially be included free of charge.

Mounted Prints
Styrene is a popular mounting substrate that provides a durable backer for your larger-sized prints. It comes in a 3mm white mount, is made from plastic and is not susceptible to warping. Mounted prints are ready for framing and do not need to be matted. It is recommended you visit a custom framer for a high quality, durable frame that will last as long as your prints.

Folio Boxes
An elegant alternative to albums. Boxes come with 20 matted 5x7 or 8x10 prints (matted to 8x10 or 11x14 mattboards, respectively). You may choose to gift some prints to grandma and grandpa, frame a few, or alternate which one you display on the included mini-easel. Mattboards are acid free so you know they will not turn yellow over time whether you keep them in the box or in a frame.
