Gantry Plaza State Park and Central Park Engagement Session | Paulina and Giovanni

Paulina and Giovanni’s engagement session was split into two locations, which turned out to be a great idea! It was a cloudy and overcast day, perfect for photos! There were no harsh shadows to worry about, no blinding sunlight that causes eyes to squinch, and overall beautiful soft lighting throughout the entire session.

We started in Central Park and made our way to the Bethesda Terrace and adjacent Bethesda Fountain, stopping at some areas along the way covered in leaves. Once we were done in Central Park, we drove over to Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City, Queens for the second part of their engagement session. Here we had the beautiful view of the skyline and a weeping willow tree that made for a perfect backdrop for a few of their images.

Gantry Plaza State Park is such a beautiful area to photograph in and I really wish more couples would choose this as their location! It does get very crowded on summer weekends, however.

Here is what Paulina and Giovanni had to say after their session:

All we can say is WOW! My fiancĂ© and I had our engagement session with Jakub yesterday and he is truly amazing!! We have never done a photo shoot and felt a bit strange poseing for pictures but he made us feel so comfortable, making our experience so much fun, we didn’t want it to end! He showed us some teasers during the session and we couldn’t believe how beautiful the pictures were coming out (and we are not picture people at all)! Now we are patiently waiting for the finished product which we do not doubt will blow us away! So so happy we got to work with Jakub, if you book him, you will not be disappointed! Thank you again Jakub!
