Megan and Oli just got engaged and opted for a beautiful night time engagement session around Central Park and the Plaza Hotel in New York City. This is the area where many scenes of Home Alone 2 were filmed, and in this first shot they are sitting on Gapstow Bridge where the pigeon lady would spend most of her time.
While the frigid temperatures and lack of light posed a bit of a challenge, it was nothing we could not overcome. Using some off camera lighting I illuminated Megan and Oli while keeping the beautiful bright lit buildings in the background, keeping the holiday atmosphere on this cold Winter night.
After some quick photos in Central Park, we moved fast towards the Plaza Hotel where there was much more available light and finished up the engagement session in that area.

Jakub was an absolutely great photographer. It wasn’t the easiest of circumstances, it was very last minute and extremely cold (around -25!). He was very accommodating and patient. He took great shots and sent them back the same night/early the next morning. He provides an absolute great service and he is very easy to get on with,I couldn’t recommend him any more!
