NYC Headshot Photography

Photographs are incredibly personal, which is why some people feel uncomfortable or apprehensive about being the main subject in front of the lens. It doesn’t help that our basic memory of headshots involves bad high school photos. I had zero experience, expectations and I contacted Jakub with the hopes he would help me on getting ok/basic, professional-looking headshots. I can’t say enough great things about Jakub. He does whatever it takes to capture you in the right light and angle, and this commitment creates an instantaneous bond.

Jakub has an eye for aesthetics. He knows exactly how the hair should fall and the angle your body should be turned. At the same time, he’s creatively flexible and tries multiple poses, directions, sides so the experience is incredibly comprehensive. For a first time with a photographer, that was super helpful. I have never done any sort of photoshoot and was pretty hesitant to even give it a try. To be honest, I think of myself as extremely unphotogenic; Surprisingly enough, Jakub made me feel comfortable and lots of photos were taken in a short amount of time. The result? I loved all of them! It was tough to pick. He is also the ultimately the editor. Corrections were made super fast and in an authentic way.

Lastly, Jakub was extremely flexible and brought the equipment to a location that was the most convenient for me. That was a huge plus. Bottom line – Jakub helped me achieve more than what I was expecting! It was a truly 10-star worth experience. Thank you Jakub!
