The iconic Brooklyn Bridge is a very popular spot for engagement sessions in New York City but one of the major obstacles is often the amount of people that are always walking or biking through it. To get around this Carly and Ryan agreed to have a sunrise engagement session on Brooklyn Bridge and we had it almost all to ourselves!
Having a sunrise engagement session will not only give you the benefit of almost certainly not having to worry about getting people in your photographs but also just look at the beautiful light we were blessed with! This time of day around sunrise and sunset is called “Golden Hour” by photographers because of the gorgeous golden light that we often see. Most engagement sessions are planned around sunset but the sunrise sessions really need to be earned with an early wake up call, but just look at the photos below – it was certainly worth it!
After we finished up on the Brooklyn Bridge Carly, Ryan and I took a walk back towards the Financial District and finished up with some more photos around City Hall and took advantage of the beautiful architecture of that neighborhood. It was still very early so we did not have to worry about all the foot traffic that would otherwise be a small pain to deal with later in the day.
