This fall, I had the pleasure of photographing Lilly and Patryk’s engagement session at the breathtaking Old Westbury Gardens in Long Island, New York. The session took place in early November when the estate was adorned with vibrant fall foliage at its peak, creating a stunning backdrop that epitomized the romance of the season.
Old Westbury Gardens is renowned for its expansive estate, historic mansion, and meticulously landscaped gardens that captivate visitors year-round. On this autumn day, the setting was particularly enchanting, with the warm hues of the leaves complementing the elegant atmosphere. The estate's classic European charm and the grandeur of its architecture made it the perfect setting for capturing luxurious and timeless photos.
We started the session in the garden, where Lilly's burgundy dress from House of CB and her red-bottom Christian Louboutin heels added a touch of sophistication and richness to the scene. Patryk, dressed in a sleek black suit from The Black Tux paired with a black shirt, perfectly matched the elegance of the surroundings. The couple's outfits stood out beautifully against the vibrant fall flowers, such as roses and lavender, and the intricate design of the garden’s paths.
Midway through the session, the couple changed outfits to add a new dimension to their photos. Patryk swapped his black shirt for a crisp white one, while Lilly donned a stunning white dress from House of CB, a brand known for its British luxury fashion. The white dress paired with the estate’s classic architecture created a dreamy and romantic aesthetic.
We explored more of the estate, photographing near the ornate pond framed by arches and moving to the grand gate, which served as a dramatic and captivating background. The highlight of the session was capturing photos by the iconic mansion itself. Positioned alone in the vast, empty grass field with the grand gate in the distance, Lilly and Patryk exuded power and sophistication. From the top of the staircase, I captured a wide shot that showcased the couple's elegant poses.
The combination of fall colors, luxury fashion, and the estate’s timeless beauty made this engagement session unforgettable and uniquely representative of Old Westbury Gardens in autumn.
