Josh and Olly’s love story brought them across the Atlantic from the UK to New York City for an intimate summer elopement in the heart of Central Park. Their magical day was meticulously planned by Claire from Wed in Central Park, who organized the complete timeline and secured the necessary permits for their ceremony at the picturesque Ladies Pavilion on the West side of the park.

Their wedding day was a beautiful, intimate affair with just their closest family members present, who also made the journey from the UK. I began capturing the ceremony at Ladies Pavilion, an elegant cast-iron structure overlooking The Lake, where Josh and Olly exchanged heartfelt vows. The lush greenery and tranquil setting made for a romantic backdrop, perfectly framing the couple's special moment. Their officiant, Larissa Martell did an amazing job with their ceremony. After the ceremony, we took family portraits in front of the pavilion, capturing the joy and love that surrounded them on this unforgettable day.

With family photos complete, Josh, Olly, and I embarked on a stroll through Central Park, stopping at some of its most iconic locations for their couple's portraits. Our first stop was the Cherry Hill Fountain, a classic spot where horse-drawn carriages often pass, adding a touch of old-world charm to their photos. Next, we made our way to Bow Bridge, a stunning cast-iron bridge that has served as the backdrop for countless romantic scenes in movies and is renowned for its breathtaking views of the park and city skyline.

Our final stop was the majestic Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. The intricately designed arches, stately pillars, and the stunning tile ceiling under the terrace provided a variety of beautiful settings for Josh and Olly’s portraits. The couple’s joy was palpable, making for photos that truly captured the essence of their love and the significance of their day. After wrapping up at Bethesda Terrace, Josh and Olly rejoined their families to continue celebrating their special elopement.

It was a privilege to capture Josh and Olly’s intimate gay elopement in Central Park, a day filled with love, joy, and the enchanting beauty of New York City. Their journey from the UK to say "I do" in such an iconic setting was nothing short of magical.
