Kasia and Matthew’s engagement session took us to some of the most iconic spots in New York City, perfectly capturing their elegant and timeless style. Dressed to impress, Kasia wore a chic white cocktail dress while Matthew looked dapper in a suit. We started at the New York Public Library, where the building’s grand architecture set the stage for some truly stunning portraits. The arches, majestic steps, and the famous lion statues at the library entrance gave us multiple backdrops that suited Kasia and Matthew’s stylish look. Their outfits complemented the classic, sophisticated vibe of the library, and it was easy to capture their chemistry in such a breathtaking location.
After the library, we took a quick walk to Bryant Park. With the city’s skyscrapers rising behind them, we snapped a few more shots with the towering skyline of Midtown Manhattan in view. The energy of Bryant Park added a dynamic touch, providing a modern contrast to the old-world charm of our first location.
For the final part of their session, we hopped in a cab and made our way to The Ivory Peacock, an upscale bar and restaurant with a stunning, illuminated bar lined with top-shelf liquors. The golden glow of the shelves was the perfect, moody shift from the bright outdoor shots, creating a more dramatic setting. Kasia and Matthew sipped cocktails together, bringing a romantic close to the day. Capturing them in this intimate, luxurious setting added depth to their engagement album, showcasing their sophisticated style against the chic, modern backdrop of The Ivory Peacock.
I’m so excited to document their wedding next summer, as this session gave a beautiful preview of the style and elegance that I know will be a hallmark of their special day.
