The Day Begins: Groom Prep with Sergey
The day started as I joined Sergey and his groomsmen for their groom prep session. Sergey’s best man and groomsmen helped him get ready with moments of camaraderie, assisting with his bowtie, cufflinks, and jacket. I captured the group lounging on a couch with a glass of whiskey in hand, relaxed and enjoying the start of this exciting day. After some outdoor portraits with Sergey and his groomsmen, I headed to The Garrison to meet Anna and her bridesmaids.
Bridal Prep and Celebrations with Anna
In the venue’s beautiful bridal suite, Anna was surrounded by her bridesmaids as she finished her hair and makeup. Capturing Anna’s final touches felt as special as the celebrations that followed. In matching silk wedding robes, Anna and her bridesmaids took group photos inside and around the suite, capturing the joy of the moment. One of the highlights was when they popped a bottle of champagne, filling the room with laughter and excitement—a perfect blend of candid emotions and unforgettable memories.
As the bridesmaids got dressed in baby blue dresses that perfectly matched the suite’s pastel green decor, Anna prepared for the first look with Sergey. I photographed her with her mother, creating timeless images that reflected the intimate, family-centered spirit of the day.
First Look on The Garrison’s Scenic Grounds
Anna and Sergey shared their first look on a scenic path with the lush landscape of The Garrison behind them. As Anna tapped Sergey’s shoulder, he turned to see her radiant in her gown, awestruck by her beauty. This heartfelt moment set the tone for their portrait session across the scenic grounds. One of my favorite shots captured them under a massive oak tree, and we even got some playful images on the back of a golf cart—an adventurous way to explore the expansive property!

Following the portraits, we gathered the bridal party for group photos in front of a brick structure on the grounds, a beautiful contrast against the natural greenery. For family photos, we moved indoors to escape the afternoon heat, utilizing the venue’s large windows that filled the space with soft, natural light. This setting added warmth and elegance to the formal family portraits.

Anna and Sergey’s outdoor ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking. With the Hudson Valley’s rolling hills and mountains as their backdrop, they exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by friends and family. This view provided the perfect setting for such a meaningful moment, and when their vows were sealed with a kiss, they walked back down the aisle to cheers and applause.

Following the ceremony, everyone headed inside to begin the reception festivities. The Garrison’s elegant interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows allowed the picturesque landscape to remain a part of the evening, even indoors. From heartfelt speeches to the first dance, every moment was a celebration of love and connection.
