Taking place on July 5th, the celebration held onto the festive spirit from the previous night’s July 4th fireworks display, which followed the couple’s intimate rehearsal dinner.
Based in NYC, I photograph most of my weddings across Long Island and New Jersey, but Adrienne and Eli’s wedding was a refreshing change with its picturesque Rocky Mountain backdrop. With the help of their wonderful planner, Kristin Cirillo from Forget Me Knot Weddings in Denver, I joined them for an unforgettable day at Della Terra.
A Picture-Perfect Wedding Day at Della Terra Mountain Chateau
The day began with groom and bride prep, each taking place in distinct areas of the venue. Eli and his groomsmen got ready in Della Terra’s reception area, where the natural light and clean design created the perfect setting for prep photos. Although the groom’s suite was staged as a man cave and movie theater—an impressive space—it had minimal lighting, so we opted for a better-photographed setting. Adrienne, on the other hand, prepared with her bridesmaids in the bridal suite, where the expansive porch offered mountain views as a stunning backdrop for some pre-wedding shots.
One of the day’s most emotional moments came with Adrienne’s first look with her father. His emotional reaction was deeply touching, and this was followed shortly after by Adrienne and Eli’s private first look, which captured their excitement and love. We then began their portrait session, making the most of Della Terra’s scenic property. Adrienne and Eli’s stunning hilltop photo, with the Rocky Mountains looming behind them, became the show-stopping cover of their wedding album.
Scenic Group Shots and a Vibrant Bridal Party
The bridesmaids, in their pastel-colored dresses, coordinated beautifully against the green and mountain-rich background. Each bridesmaid wore a unique color, and the diversity of hues created a vibrant and cohesive look in photos. This colorful group added a fresh, celebratory feel to each shot, harmonizing perfectly with the natural surroundings of Estes Park.
With the towering mountains as the backdrop, Adrienne and Eli exchanged vows under perfect Colorado weather. Their guests couldn’t have been more thrilled, immersed in the beauty of the setting and the meaningful ceremony, which captured the spirit of this mountain destination wedding.
Unforgettable Reception and a Night to Remember
The reception took place indoors at Della Terra, where the lively Diamond Empire Band kept the energy high throughout the evening. One of the highlights was Adrienne’s surprise performance on bass guitar, joining the band for a song—a moment that took the celebration to another level and had everyone cheering!
As the night wound down, Adrienne and Eli made their grand exit in a private golf cart. Guests gathered to blow bubbles as they shared a sweet kiss, creating an iconic and romantic ending to their celebration. This final, joyful image was the perfect capture to close out their wedding album and preserve the memories of their Colorado mountain wedding.
